I am so incredibly excited to receive the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Cadiz, Spain Abbey Road Program. Throughout this program I hope to improve my Spanish language proficiency so that I may engage in interesting and memorable conversations. Eventually becoming bilingual is a goal of mine because that skill would enable me to communicate with a greater number of people while giving me a more complex understanding of the English language. Also, I will experience a total immersion into the vibrant and wonderful Spanish culture. I will walk the streets of Cadiz with an open mind, willing to taste exotic foods, take part in spirited dances, and converse with natives to the town. Beyond this, an intention of mine is to create unbreakable bonds with the Abbey Road staff and the teens that join me in the gorgeous town this summer, as well as with the diverse and intriguing people of Cadiz. Each person I meet will be very unique. I am honestly awaiting the chance to listen as they share their own experiences with me, and I will learn new things from all of them. No matter what, I am sure that the time I spend in Cadiz with the Abbey Road Program will be an absolutely unforgettable four weeks.
